2009 Phazer MTX
Anyone have issues on there short tracks while installing a new track? I just finished up putting a 144 Freeride on my MTX and had to use ratchet straps to stretch the track enough to get the skid in. With the tensioner bolts all the way loose the track is still a tighter than I like to run the track so I hope it stretches out a bit quickly. I'm glad I didn't decide to put in the 9 tooth driver/axle, for less resistance, I picked up for cheap as it would have never gone in. Every other track swap I've done on other sleds I've been able to install the skid with just human power, this one I was about 1" short of the bolt holes with human power.

sometimes the best thing is another set of hands. my skid was a bear to get in too. with the skid unloaded, of spring pressure, i still needed my brother to help. way tighter than the polaris machines i used to own.

Just take the springs loose then you can move the rear shock to your hearts delight

Haven't done it on a Phazer yet but I used to jack the suspension rearwards off of the drive shaft on really tight installations.
