Don't know if this will help you or make your decision harder, but ...
Our usual riding group experimented with various skis with the last round of sleds we had. These were all trailing arm design machines, but the condition we were trying to cure was darting. We tried the Flex Skis you are asking about as well as Ski-Doo's Precision Skis and Snow Stuff Dual Runner. The Flex and Precision skis are nearly identical, being hollow in the center with a keel at each edge. At that time the Precision ski was less expensive, but it may be hard to find a new set now. The Snow Stuff skis still retain a center keel, which is shorter than the edge keels and does not carry a runner. Here's what we came away with, related to Easter Type riding conditions.
All of them reduced darting significantly, except when immediately following a sled equipped with the same skis. All performed equally well on groomed trails.
The Flex and Precision skis gripped better when there was an inch, or so, of new snow over hard pack or ice. The Snow Stuff Skis would ride on the center keel and not let the runners get a good bit into the harder subsurface.
With several inches of new snow down the Snow Stuff skis worked better because the center keel acts as an additional rudder when the carbides can no longer get a grip.
In really deep soft snow, the Fex and Precisions come up on plane quicker because of the packing action of the hollow center, but the Snow Stuffs still had a slight steering advantage.
I haven't noticed any bad darting with my Vector, but I've already changed the rubber blocks, and there hasn't been anything here (NY) that would qualify as good riding. I'lll be curious to see what happens here since I still have the dual runners from my last sled and they'll bolt right on this one.

Can't help you with ski's. I run double runners and love them no darting.

Just put on a set of Deuce Bars from Stud Boy. No more darting. The Flex Skis adds too much of a high ski pressure feel.

I put the Deuce bars on too. Haven't experienced any darting whatsoever.

That's good to know I've been looking at them doolys. Do the dooly runners push in the corner at all?

Just a quick note.......If U go 2 Simmons Flexi Ski's, U have 2 set them up Parallel 2 each other......perfectly straight.........NO TOE OUT [1/8]
They R a Good Ski........BUT they have their limitations as well........They Hydro Plane On Glare Ice or Trails that have melted then frozen over late in the season.......They get squirrelly.

The Deuce Bars should not push as much as the doolys.

I just removed the Dualies from my sled and replaced with Shaper Bars. What a difference! The sled corners much better now then with the Dualies which were pushing.
I put in a 1/8" shim at the same time to reduce anticipated darting. My sled is not darting with this setup.

I also am running the shaper Bars with good results , They are cheaper and lighter and work good.Flipper said:I just removed the Dualies from my sled and replaced with Shaper Bars. What a difference! The sled corners much better now then with the Dualies which were pushing.
