1st thing is make sure you are toed out 1/4"

2nd thing , thanks to Scott Bergstrom suggested I turn my ski rubbers around .... but I went 1 step further is I added a 1/4" PVC shim from Scott to the heel of the rubber after I turned it around and the darting was gone... I could drive at 80 MPH with 1 arm.... Nate 007 can vouch for it as I did the switch on his sled as well... and it works.

I turned my rubbers around yesterday and thought it made a positive difference. I love free, easy mods!

Are you running bergstrom skegs on yours mr sled? On stock skis? how do you like them, was thinking of getting a set. Cool to hear this worked, I'll have to be doing mine here soon.

Are you guys running the Bergstrom Triples having good wear out of them. Ive never run them and always been partial to the Stud Boy Shapers, but would like to try something different on my C&A Razors.

After fussing with different skis, mounting blocks and shims, I finally took the time to check my ski alignment. They were toed in 1 1/8"!! Check that first....

I know this is the Nytro section, but does anyone know if the Nytro and Phazer rubber ski blocks are the same. If this is the case I will also try to turn around the rubber block on my phazer.

Definately works!!! I wanted to have a couple new guys ride my Nytro, but with it darting so bad, I couldn't bear to let them on it. After Tom's fix, I was able to ride one handed even though the trails were getting even more traffig without grooming! My sled is still bone stock with stock carbides, and now rides like I put different skis on it!!!
Definately a super easy - 10 minute fix!!

tkuss they are different but I think it can be done on the Phazer too. I have one and will give it a try and post in the Phazer sections as soon as I can.

This is funny because I spoke with Scott as well, and I ordered 8" good n uglies from him last week. Today was my first ride with the rubber turned around, his 1/4" shim and his ski savers installed on my c&a outlaws. Today was also the FIRST time that I had darting. go figure. it did however greatly reduce the steering effort on my skis, but I think I will go back to the 3/8" homemade shim that I made out of lexan with a slight taper to it. again, this was on non stock skis, but I rode with Reaper today and he agreed. Dude, your sled darts a little!!

My toe was waaaay in when I checked it and the Bergstrom shim helped a lot as well. I still set my ski's at 1/8" toe in still thinking Yamaha must have wanted toe in for some reason since were all finding them to be that way.

I currently have heavily modified stock skis with grooves cut on the keel sides tht resemble the Shaper concave.
As a result, Im hesitant to toe OUT any further because I heard Slydogs have to be toed IN and Im kinda runnin a poor mans Slydog I guess.
My darting has been better and I can now ride one handed as well its just that I thought it was gone until I rode my friends sled for 20 min and then got back on mine.

Jacked the front of the sled up off the floor and surprise!! one ski dead level with the floor the other tipped front of ski down about 3 inches. Sled has never hit hard or crashed yet. Turned the rubber pcs around on the tipped ski at least both are even now.
