Went to start machine, pulled up on the kill switch and turned the key. It turned over for about 1/2 a second then nothing!! tried again - no instrumentation no power anywhere. Tried boosting it - nothing. Checked battery - fine. ckecked ignition connection at handle bars - found 12 volts. Still nothing. Checked fuses - all ok. HELP!!!

while holding key in start position with the kill switch pulled up, start wiggling wires around the starter relay, If you get a bump, then you've most likely lost the main ground.

You are welcome. Now you should inspect the wires in that area. This has happened to me twice. 1st time really stumped me until I brought a friend over who is a reitred military machine electrician. All he did was to make a jumper wire to re-ground the relay to the frame and varoom. So if you cannot find the problem wire, run a new ground.

Sounds similar to the problem on the Apex's with the grounding blocks over time.
