Deal is done! my 09 Vec for 2010! yes!!!

just gave a dealer the down payment over the phone, i searched several different dealers trying to find the white/silver. nobody has them. finally found a dealer who put in the effort and found one for me. everyone seems to have the red and blue.
anyway, i'm stoked, i bring in my 09 ltx gt and ($$$) pick up my 2010 ltx gt on monday

yes yox185, that is me. i am not in the military, but i play in a band that has done 8 military tours. that particular pic was taken at Camp Virginia which lies on the border of Kuwait and Iraq. it is the entry point for all military personel into Iraq. talk about some awesome experiences!

tommy, i assume your talking about Neilsons??? they do seem to have a bad rep. i've really never had a problem with them. they have a good service dept. they just don't haggle as well as others.

Way funny to me...............I got an 08 Vector at nielsen just about 6 weeks ago, I'm very happy with it and the price, I bought a mini ski-doo for my boys from them last year, at a great price also.


I've / and the family have been buying stuff from thier since the early 80', and I've heard storys about people not liking them and I've never had a problem, so just wanted to see if did or did not like them or bought from them.


Any way, I grew up by you (GOOD OLD RL) and now I'm up here, which is two city's over from Mukwonago (about 8 miles), so I got the sled I wanted from a dealer by you (60 miles from me) and now your getting a sled by a dealer by me, FUNNY how things work.

Peterdb, about how much did you have to add to the deal to trade up to the 2010? I believe you said you had an '09 never ridden?

Typically those guys at Mukwonago aren't the easiest to deal with on price. Maybe the economy has changed things.

tommy, that is funny! i did buy my 09 vec from neilson and my honda vtr 1000. they just aren't giving me NEAR the deal on trade as mu8kwanago is. soooooo....
fusion, to answer your question, my 09 vec has 850 miles on it. i am giving them the sled plus 2850.00 and leaving with the 2010 LTX GT.
the best neilson's would do was $3600.00 pretty big difference!

i got a buddy who is already calling me that! but....i want what i want. no matter the cost. but i will def keep this sled for many years. keep it as a back up when the new 180hp apex come out!

Glad you took my criticism so good naturedly. You got a damn nice sled, congrats! But I'll tell you this, the dealer you bought from is literally 5 minutes from my house, and I haven't been able to work a deal with them in 4 - 5 years of considering a Yamaha. I drive 45 miles one way to Port Yamaha. Now those guys know how to deal!

fusion, they (mukwanogo) matched port yamahas deal! it was port yamaha who came up with the best deal i could find first. mukwanogo matched it. the only reason i went to mukwanogo is because they were the only ones i could find who had the white and silver.

The guys in Mukwonago must be getting the message. When I bought my Apex they were very close on price to Port. The only thing that moved me to Port was the fact I had registered with them for the spring YES voucher and they honored that on the '09. Glad you got a good deal.

Was your sled black? I see they have one listed for $7499. Do you mind if I ask what they gave you for it? It would be nice to know how much they have into it before I try to haggle with them.
