hey Kevin or NFS2 I talked to you on the phone and from what I understand you have never got the thing working, right? It was falling flat on top and you werent happy with the power, mabey alot of this was a install prob?
The fuel boxes are the same one used by alpine, cpr, and I belive the S/C use them now as well, so all kits will be the same. I have also talked to mcx guys who have switched to the pure logic box and love the improvments in the response, and I belive the box issues are over with if you install it right.
The probs you had with the header and the boost climbing to high are alpine/powderlites f!@K up. As you said they resolved that for you, time not riding sucks but fixed.
All the people who have had probs with alpine/powderlites have had their probs fixed and are happy with the way they are treated. Are we to belive they treated you that much worse or you are just one of "those" people? I know both dean and dave personally and they are both first class people, who I'm sure have gone out of there way to help you out.
Mabey just sell your kit and quit your bashing, or if you are so sure its the kit that has the probs how do the rest of us with thier kit have a great winter riding ours? :ORC

Installed a Powerderlites kit on a customers sled, had a flex pipe problem but it was replaced promptly with a better one redesigned. I have no problems with the guys at Powerlites.
Like was mentioned earlier, Sometimes the installer may make a mistake that he doesn't realize and that has an effect on something else and on it goes too bad for all but it happens. Not referring to anything in particular here but its hard to fix some problems 4000 miles away not able to see for yourself.
If you don't have at least some knowledge of turbo systems I would recomend you find some help or a installer. Understand me I'm not casting any stones and there are problems with kits from time to time and if your going to sell kits, you have to deal with it and help the customer work it out. Goes with the sale.

mike my kit was not a kit it was missing pieces pieces were used etc etc . as for it being an install issue we have had this thing apart and checked everything atleast 4times we got outside help,no problems bottom line it needs more r=d for the east riders. as for yourself and john jumping into this and saying its an install problem that is expected of you both. the facts are still undeniable this has been a long and expensive winter.

one more ting mike my sled is parked i had a buyer but there are no fuel controllers available now. when the potential buyer was told that he bailed and found himself another sled. my post is not bashing you take personal aim at me in the end of your post. why i guess you feel you have to your the guy i partly bought this kit for the success you wre having and also knapp attack but since then ive talked to mr knapp maybe you should talk to him as well and tell him his was an install problem or is he just one of those people also. after spending 10000bucks and the thing sets with more defunked parts and no help you have to atleast sense some frustration. oh by the way dint you guys blow your engine or dean did in the parking lot?

Gee, this sounds very familiar, I thought my kit was missing stuff originally because I purchased it a couple of years back. No parts list, no installing instructions. Like I said Dave was quite helpful, they just need to improve things and orginize a little better.

well guys i said i would post if positivity come to play. dean from alpine and myself are negotiating at this time. ill post the end results. im hoping we can end this positively. another note guys dont think for a minute a 28rs turbo is suited for sealevel riding on pump gas. its way out of its range at those lower boost #s. minus 20 the air is very dense compared to 0 at 8-10000foot elevation. ted has revealed a big part of my problem.

I have dealt with Alpine Motorsports on multiple occasions and so far they have had exceptional customer service. I haven't had any mechanical problems but they have been very helpful regarding the install and tuning of the sled.

not bashing here, but it sounds as though you intended to do a fair bit of your riding at low boost levels and on pump fuel so why did you opt for the upgrade turbo that you know loves big boost?
I ran my 28RS all year here in Ontario and it was a weapon! Much of my season was spent at 15-18psi on race fuel but even at low boost and pump gas it ran like a top.
The one thing that I had to battle for a bit was traced back to a low battery charge on my lightweight battery kit...now I just keep it plugged into my trickle charger each night and she works like a dream.

did you run against any simons apex kits or mcxs that wre dialed for top end. run against a simons and then ask if its a weapon. when mine is running its ok far from perfect and the reason for the 28 is because thats what the vendor said i needed. since that day i have been on a fast and steady learning curve. the 28rs can be bettered by the 2560 its limit is 22lbs sweet spot is 15-16 right where i want to be. 9blades verses 11.
