Well I had the wife out for a ride this weekend on her Vector, I had her try my Viper and she wouldn't give it back. So I get to upgrade to a Sidewinder now 
Here's where I need help, my Viper is an RTX SE, I have it dialed in and it handles awesome in all condition's, I thought with the SW power I probably need the extra traction of a 137 but read that the RTX hooks as well as an LTX in a review.
I have been looking and reading for a while (hoping she would want the viper once she tried it, I only got it last March) I was pretty sure I wanted the LTX SE or RTX SE but there are so many models, there is an STX DX for a good deal local. How would and STX DX do for aggressive trail riding comparable to the others?
I trail ride 99.9% of the time but I would probably play off trail a little more if I had the right machine. Our group rides very aggressive 100-150 miles a day in Northern NH with an occasional trip to Maine.

Congrats. I had longer track apex sleds. Xtx, Ltx. Loved my 12 apex xtx. Then got out of sledding for a couple years. Bought a 2010 apex and 2016 vector short tracks a couple years ago. Swore after that first season on 2010 apex my next new sled was going to be 137. I ride mostly on trail like you but I always felt when set up properly the mid length track sleds gave you the most options for the money. As a bigger guy. 260# I feel for me that 136,137” skid helps on the rough trails too. Like others have said in other threads on this subject, I’m sure you will be thrilled either way. I know my first 340 miles on my new ltx sidewinder have been pure enjoyment.
If i had to do it all over again i think i would go with the XTX which is uncoupled. As much fun as going warp speed is on a lake, we just don't get the conditions for it often. I would get more use with the 1.75" track for off trail or just breaking trail as it seems in recent years when we get snow we get bombed. If transfer is what you're after the XTX can't be beat.
