Deleting messages

Having trouble deleting old/read private messages. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong? Any help with this, thanks.

Open up your Inbox. Select messages you want to erase by clicking on the box between the message and your avatar.
This opens a sub menu. Click on Other Action. drop down will appear and click on Leave Converstaion
