I put yamaha bond on my caps while waiting for the new ones it helped alot, it will get you by until you get the billet ones.

I got them in the mail today!! Nice but what do you do with the little o-ring it does not have a spot for it? Throw them out?

I got mine and put them on today. He said the oring doesn't do anything, keep it with the old caps. Didn't know how much torque on the screws.

did you test it with the new caps, i have a lean problem at 7000 rpm, make a soap test and didn't see any leak on the cover. how do you test it , i put pressure in the tube to put the needle up and never see any bubble, last year no problem with jetting and this year i have more boost and lean problem, don't no why ?? how many time to have it ?? any help will be welcome. thank's the best

more boost and lean could mean you were leaking last year and now you are not, which would give you more boost and more air in cylinders would run leaner. maybe

I think my stock carb caps have started to leak. I noticed a smell of gasoline a few rides ago. Yesterday I was out riding and I found out that every time I got into boost it started to smell gasoline, the more the boost the more it smelled gas. When home I checked my gas lines, could not find any leaks there. I noticed that one of the carb caps did not seal properly it looked like it was warped. I could smell gas from 2 of the caps.
I guess the STM caps is a must have item, will be ordering them asap.
