If anyone is having spark issues and looking for something that works, I have been helping my buddy stone with his sled that has been blowing the spark out at high rpm. After trying RX1 coils, a second set for yamaha coil and a list of other stuff to cure it, I talked to mark at TAKAI engineering and got a set of his coils. Installed them and cured the problem. Just thought I would post about something that actually works and someone on the end of the phone that was very helpful. thanks Mark!

Thanks for the tip…..i was wondering if after market coils were available…..it always felt like the weak link
once you add boost……those coils look like they deliver in a big way!

I better start saving…..

I also put a set of iridium spark plugs in ( CR9EIX ) gapped at .018 and that was the finishing touch to the package, its finally nice to spend money on something that does what it claims to do.

I run the same plugs in ngk.... The takai iridiums sound even better but are they worth
90 bucks?

Any idea if these consume a different input voltage then the stock coils? Just wondering what output setting changes I'd have to make on my MoTeC to accomodate the takai coils and not ptentially damage them...

we swapped them for the stock coils with the same dwell table in the motec and have had no problems without changing anything. Mark said to watch the tune because the stronger spark will act like adding timing because it will jump sooner - Martin has seen the logs and can comment further, but confirmed this to be true.
