difference between 03/04 to 05 warrior seats?

i just find that i sit too high for my comfort on my 05 warrior. all suspension settings are stock ecept front limiters sucked up 1/2" and fra set to soft. a-arms are parallel to the ground.


i just find it more loose in the corners than the 03rx1 i test rode before buying it. i hate doo rider forward and prefer to run sitting on the seat when i ride. i just find it sits really tall requireing me to lean it more in the corners than i think i should have to.

if you're thinking of going to an 04 style seat, let me know. I'll trade you staight up if yours is in A1 condition....Might be able to arrange delivery/pickup at or near Sudbury too, if that helps....Oh, must be black & silver....

As for being loose in the back end, you might want to give some specifics on the skis, carbide brand/length, # studs & length as well as your weight to get others here to help out....

The 03 seat is definelty lower that the 05 seat. I think the 04 seat is the same as the 03 but I am not positive. I do have an 03 seat that is black and grey if you want it I will sell it cheap, I have no use for it.

seat is black and silver from 05 rxwarior ltd. (sled in avatar pic)

it has 6" carbides (or are they 8"....been too long) the cheap #*$&@ ones made on the square stock. i paid $60.00 canadian for em at dealer while waiting on my cb carbides to come in.

stock skis and track with no studs. i weigh in at about 245lb and have a 28" inseam.

03and 04 are the same they added more foam in 05.I want to say about 1.5" more.

I would say you need to stud the track. I know there is more traction with a 136" track, but I'd bet that's playing a big part in the 'loose' issue. As for a high centre of gravity, I can't say I've ever found that to be the case....You should try riding an Apex or Attack by comparison if you think the Warrior is 'high'.

the 04 seat is about 1 inch thicker than the 03 and the 05 is thicker than the 04,when i bought my 04 warrior,my dealer pointed that out to me

i have never found anywhere i needed studs for yet.

i came off of a 2001 sx500r to this sled. it was great other than the fuel milage (8mpg on a good day). it had a ripsaw cb front end kit and viper skis on it. the other ride is a 1997 et410tr with a 136" straight bar track with no studs (see a pattern?). you want to be ready in the trails when i drive the 410 as i make the others in the group work to keep up in the corners.

if the seat is 1-1.5" taller on the 05 seat i might have to take you up on that rx buck. i know that when my war sits beside bros viper on the trailer it is about 1-2" taller in the seat with the tunnels at the same height.

Maim this a recovered 03 rx-1 seat. It has about an inch and half of foam added. I'm in Kapuskasing and could send it to you if the bus strike ever ends PM me if your interested. going cheap.
