I see when looking for a bushings kit for the front a-arms, the 03 and 04-05 rx1 are different. Does anyone know what the differences are? Yes I am being lazy, I could spend an hour and look it up

Where are you finding this kit? I have practically every bushing on the front of mine gone and am in desperate need for the bushings asap. I also need the 4 big bushings in the spindles.

allen ulmer (site sponsor ulmer racing) has oillite bushing kits availible for re-bushing the front a-arms of your sled. you might have to ask him on the spindle bushings though.

There are differences in the 03 to 04 control arms/spindles, enough so that the 04 arms won't bolt right on to the 03 sled without a little grinding etc. (I can't remember what we did exactly, it was more than a year ago). I would probably translate that the bushings are different as well, though it may just be in length of some. Someone with more exposure to the 03-04 differences will have to fill in the many blanks I'm leaving.

So Yamaha doesn't sell one of these kits? I have to go out and order one which will probably take 2 or 3 weeks. Man that is the worst news I could probably hear. This pretty much means I'm finished for the year on account of a few pieces of teflon. Ok so what's the price of this kit and does it include the teflon washers and stuff as well? I just want a kit, the quicker the better I'm not necessarily concerned for price right now so if Yamaha does have one and it costs more tell me anyways. Thanks.

Ulmer is out of stock as far as I know, unless that's changed recently. The ones I linked to are plastic. The oilite from ulmer are superior in my opinion.

I got the rear skid bushings from pioneer, and ordered the same day as the fronts from ulmer. I received them both the same day. Wow two days is fast shippin! Ulmer had the bushings last week. I wonder why Ulmer doesn't do the rears? On my Rx they can be gone in one season. My Apex didn't eat-um up after 7 grand

So what are these oilite bushings? How are they different? I came home from school today to find that dad had all the bushings ordered from the Yam shop and he had a courier bringing them out here. I would also like to kno if the teflon washers on the front end are just washers or are they some special kind of thing? Can I just make up some normal teflon washers at home and the do a good enough job????
