Still in shock, it's clear Yamaha is exiting the snomo biz. If we wanted an Arctic Cat, we would have bought one. With Yamaha essentially out of the snowmobile picture, the others no longer have a quality standard to benchmark against. This long time Yamaha loyalist will be going to Ski Doo.

Just keep some Yamaha riding buddies for when your new skidoo blows up!

Sno Cat get your Blue head our of your A$$ this is a good move for Yamaha and their loyal buyers, I have been riding with Cat guys for years and towed home none...switched sleds and said to myself "why can't yamaha make a sled handle like this?" so go ahead and be loyal for all these years and jump ship when they finally make a sled that works out of the box!

WOW.....Pretty Bold Statments too make considering...

...You HAVE NOT even actually seen it yet

...YOU HAVE NOT even test drove it yet

...YOU HAVE NOT even looked under the hood or suspension yet

...YOU HAVE NOT even spoken to a YAMAHA REP yet, too see if they actually are OUT OF THE PICTURE YET

Good Luck with the Ski Doo....Im sure they will fill you in

The big message Yamaha is sending with this move is that they have stopped developing new technology & they are now simply scavenging technologies from others. Yam sleds have been the benchmark of engineering & quality & that translated to being the benchmark for reliability. This now is all out the window & this really is the big story here. This new sled will have a great running engine but is likely to suffer the exact same durability & reliability maladies Arctic Cats do. The poor AC quality, poor AC fit & finish now has a tuning fork on it. Using the poorest quality sled on the market will not work well for Yamaha.
Ride on.

ANYBODY can ride the new Viper.......Its the Procross NA +10 hp.......Havent you seen them in all the magizines and all over the net........you havent? Because its a turd....nobody cares about it, and why would they when you could buy the boosted version or the lightweight 800 and have a performance sled. Some people need to WAKE UP and TAKE OFF THE BLINDERS. The Viper has been in front of you for two years and nobody noticed. :o|

I wouldn't say 10+ HP, I've ridden a 1100na and there is NO WAY that sled has the claimed 122hp, I'd say 110 at best. the one I rode felt almost exactly 1/2 between my Phazer and the Nytro that was with us and in a 0-60 jaunt my phazer stayed pretty damn close to it before it walked away.

2 year old chassis but with a Yamaha engine with 180 hp. That is fine.

But still 135hp and to top it off, AC comes with the same engine.

And no mountain version, AC has offered it for 2 years already. What is the hold up! It just cant be any worse.

Im so keeping my Nytro, first day i see a AC Proclimb with a Nytro engine live. I'm changing brand!

Why should i by a new Yamaha. When i can by the original one with a Yamaha engine.

Cry baby's ......Yamaha will only make it better.....and they are saying more "new" sleds and eng in the next 5 years.....so they are still going to make sleds.....stop all the crying you can still get that 10 year old apex if you don't like what's new.....

O I have a buddy that is in the up and his ski doo went down again yes again this is the 4 time "junk"
