Dissapointed with 2010 line up?

A couple of days ago i went on a demo ride of the 2009 ski-doo line up and rode a mxz 600 E-tec,renegade 1200,and renegade 800R,there verdict? The light weight doos do feel lighter but not as much as you would figure for a 430 sled. The steering effort was much, much harder on these sleds than my warrior or my brothers 06 nytro(makes the yamaha feel like they got POWER STEERING).Rear skid is the best rear skid on any sled PERIOD,they got there homework done there.1200 felt a little bite heavier than my warrior but with great low end punch but weak every where else. The sled understeers alot more than my warrior. Also feels nose heavy(even the 2-strokes with there lite weight felt nose heavy). The E-tec feels very, very four-stroke like. These 2-strokes doos are the best cornering sleds on the market,no ski lift to speak of.Would i buy a new 2-stroke doo?I have to ride a PHAZER first because i have a feeling it would feel even lighter. :yam:(not to mention the fuel i would save on the phazer).

Actually i have the 09 500SS TNT doo and the 08 phazer and i dont a huge difference in fuel consumption.

The yamaha does get better fuel mileage but its not a huge gap.

To answer the original thread: Yes, I am very disappointed in the '10 Yam lineup. Last year it was the Rev XP, this year it's the Poo Rush. The XP has its issues, we'll see about the Rush, teething pains are to be expected. BUT, the one thing both those sleds DO have that Yam doesn't is radical, outside the box design & engineering for which credit is due. Yam is stuck in a rut & for this, they will continue to loose market share. Yam must get the weight out.
I swapped my Attak for an XP for a few miles on a recent rail ride for an apples-to-apples comparo. The XP setup was not optimized. My Attak is as good as it can be. Without a question, the XP absolutely rails the turns, has no ski lift, is far more controllable & predictable & is by far the best handling sled I've ever ridden.
Yam truly delivers on the QDR (Quality, Durability, Relaiability) mantra they live by but they must pony-up, engineer something radical & most of all, get the lead out. "Light IS right'.
Anyone intersted in a mint low mileqage '06 Attak? I'm going over to Yellow.
A pair of snowtracker's on your Attak and it will be the most predictable sled on the snow and will minimize the inside ski lift and eliminate push. A whole new sled! kviper

Anyone who tries to compare that AWFUL looking Polaris to anything Yamaha makes needs professional help. I'll stick with the Yammis. Wig

Interesting.....
