How hard is it to make my own 4th wheel kit? or is it easier to just buy a kit? I have extra wheels so if I can make my own I would rather go that route. Let me know what you think

It's just a matter of cutting the spacer and adding a wheel...very simple

That is kinda what I was thinking but wasn't sure. What would be the best way to measure that spacer to get it lined up in the track?

Don't forget you will not only need to cut the spacer but you will also need to remove the width of the bearing of the wheel you are adding.
Worst case scenario if you cut too much or somehow it does not fit anymore just buy the kit.

Regarding the spacer/sleeves, cut a piece off the longer one that is equal to the shorter spacer. Then cut 12mm off the longer spacer again for the middle section.

Hey Grimm could u explain this more, I'm guessing ur talking about the shorter spacer for the wheel that is in there already? Cut it to that length and then 12 mm more for the with of the bearing? Thanks buddy

What I did is remove the rear axle and 3 wheels. You will have a long spacer and a short spacer. Measure the short one against the longer one and cut the long one to equal length ( this piece is now your new outside spacer). Then cut approx 13 mm (which is the the thickness of your 6205 wheel bearing race) off the remaining long spacer which is your middle or inside spacer. Discard the 13 mm piece and re-assemble adding your fourth wheel []-[]--[]-[] Voila $27.00 fourth wheel kit worth $$$$ for next to nothing. I used a pipe cutter for a nice smooth edge with no burrs and precise cut.

There is a drawing in the tech info on doing this with all the measurement. I found it on this site somewhere and have done 2 sleds.

Is it possible to remove the two outside wheels and put them between the rails with the stock setup? Or is that a special kit? And what are the advantages, if any, of only having two wheels between the rails?

If your constantly running Deep Pow then you should have no problem. But as for hard trail, I don't think it would be as good and in that senario more is better. And regardless you'll have to cut the rear axle sleeve, so no to running the stock set-up.nytroman20 said:Is it possible to remove the two outside wheels and put them between the rails with the stock setup?
