I did the oil and filter today, crank case drain plug is a S.O.B.. I allmost stripped the allen head getting it off. The oil filter is an even bigger pain in the a$$. I had to remove the oil cooler and the pressure sending unit to get the filter off and put the new one on. Be carefull to make sure that the "O" ring dosnt get stuck on the block (mine was).
I also closed my rear tunnel hole with 1/16" thick aluminum (looks great!). I also removed the rear tail piece and lined it with heavy aluminm foil tape for heat sheilding. I have ridden the sled +/- 20 miles and all is well nothing seems too hot. The best part is NO MORE ICE at all!

took mine off with channel locks and when i replaced the oil filter i put in a k&n oil filter it has a 17mm nut welded to the top, very easy to take off and i didn't have to remove the oil cooler, also put in mobil 1 full synthetic total of the oil & filter change was $27.00, also, changed the chaincase oil with mobil 1 full synthetic. with the synthetic it start's alot easier too.
