I had very heavy steering on my Apex. I blamed it on the USI Project X skis until this last weekend.
Friday night I jacked the front of my sled up and turned the bars. They were squeaking and HARD to turn. I sprayed everything I could several times. It became much much looser. Not as loose as I would like but it was a huge improvement on the trail.
I just thought I would throw this out here in case anyone was looking for ways to steer easier without checking the basics as I didn't do.

Its the bushing behind the chaincase that causes all that squeaking and stiffens things up...I took it apart and cleaned it and installed a ZERK to make it greasable, no more problems and just keep spraying lube on all other bushings especialy the steering column.
