I cant get my boost over 13lbs. The dang wastegate is pretty much shut. I am running a 45 helix and I cant get any more boost. When I put on the 51 helix my sled starts lean popping and I have to shut it down. Is this because the addtional load on the motor is building more boost and wanting more fuel? I am confused. I have a 47 on the way and hope to try that soon. tia

i resealed my tee's today i had used a 2 part apoxy and now i used 1104/ yamahabond and it will seal way better .cant wait to try to see if my low end brap brap brap then it pulls like normal (hard). this was worse with 17lbs. is yours ok at 10 but not when you turn up the boost? mine did it very little at 10 lbs. what are you runnig for mains? if your t's are leaking it will not richen up your mixture as your boost comes up. bowl presssure is leaking out the t instead of forcing more fuel up the jets. when its lean it just wont make boost i am up to 132.5 and runs perfect in the grren on my o2 meter at 17lbs with 51 deg with 8bu and 2 17mm pins and pulls 10500 rpm at 7000ft. like i said i think mine were leaking a little because the 2 part apoxy was hard as a rock and i dont think had a perfect seal like needed for proper mixure expesally when accelorating off the line. bla bla bla what i am saying is try to seal t's again its easyly done just to make sure.

Thanks turbo I will try that. I think still that it is a prob with the bigger helix cause it loads the motor and wants to creat more boost. I never knew how big of a deal it would be to keep things sealed.

i agree 100% that more helix will load motor harder faster and build boost quiker. have you had it over 13# yet. are you going to the biso?does yours pop at all in the bottom end?

Put the E- brake on put the engine under a slight load , and spray soapy water around your "t"s ,carb boots , intercooler ,etc. Just an idea.

Freak... if the controller is blocked off, and the highest boost you see is 13lbs... then your are at 100% of the output of the turbo..... with a stage II bender model 25, 13-14lbs is max effective output... guages may vary.... need more boost, may gave to get a larger turbo... call Terry at bender or Jeff at CPR....

Kip.......I'm running at 15 p.s.i w/ a bender stage 2 , Measured at the intercooler ,should I move the tube to the carb boot side for a better reading ? .......Seems like it would be the same ?

I ran mine at 17lbs of boost on the weekend went up from 14lbs of boost. Thing had so much power with 17lbs accually hard to control in the tight stuff. Turned it back too 14lbs. and like it better for allround riding. 17lbs is awsome if you are going too just climb with it, but a handfull in the trees. I have been running mine at 14lbs for awhile now and havn,t found anything it won't go over. Just need to get a bigger pair of berries I guess to ride with anything over 17lbs.
