Seek help my friend.
I could care less about the differing opinions, in fact that's what makes this fun. What I have no time for at all is your punk attitude about the whole thing. Grow up and and learn how to have a discussion and even disagree without being an idiot about it.

Everything you do proves my point. It's probably good that you don't give your location in your profile, and now I know why.

For those that don't think the REV corners well. You're wrong. It's as simple as that. I'm not saying it's better than the RX-1 because I haven't spent enough time on an RX-1 ......and someone might be faster on an RX-1 than a REV where as someone else might be faster on a REV.
When it comes to speed thru the trails it depends on you're riding style. I'm much faster on a REV then I am on a non-rider forward sled because it fits my riding style. When I ride my 700 SX I sit on the front of the seat and have my feat underneath me, its the way I ride.
Because of the new position of the 06 Yamahas I am one REV rider who will be considering an 07 Nytro.

I was wondering when someone with a REV would chime in. I also own a REV, as well as my 05 RX1ER, and you are correct. There are places that the REV excels, and places that the Yamaha excels. Ken Lacy you are wrong about cornering stability, but won't realize it until you ride an 06 I imagine. The 06 is designed to corner better with more stability. The geometry is better, the rider will be more centered with better leverage on the bars, I don't know how some could think Yamaha would be taking a step backwards here. The movement has been towards better riding position, end of story. Hips need to be above the knees for less abuse, and better leverage on the body. REVs started it, but some can't get used to the fact that you can't stretch out. Fusion took it one step better, and allows you to stretch your legs out. The 06s are following that model. I rode a Fusion Sunday in some fairly bony trails. After hopping off my RX, I was immediately struck with how comfortable it was, and how it didn't pull on your arms powering through the bumps. On the 05 and earlier Yamahas, you need your arms to pull your #*$&@ off the seat to absorb a bump. On the Fusion, you spread the work and share with your legs, much better. In fact, not even a question if you'd spent some time on it. So I can't wait to try the 06, because I know it's gonna handle better and require less energy to go fast. The windshield, yeah sure, I want a higher windshield. I did on both my SRXs too. But this is the snowmobile business, where the hype and image is often much like one of those county fair hucksters selling mops....

The geometry of the front suspension is better on the 06's cause they went with the RS geometry on all of them - I would imagine that will help.
But moving the rider up higher and more forward does not help cornering on good trails - maybe slightly on bad trails.
You can read articles in ever rag about how the XC, ZR and old MXZ chassis handle better in the trails (handle like they are on rails) compared to the F-7, Rev's and Pro-X's. This is not just my own bs opinion that I am slinging here. Throw a lot of big bumps into the coners and then the Rev and F-cats have their advantage. I have spent enough time on both to know how they handle.
I am saying this again for the third time I believe but I agree the Rev handles the nasty stuff better and with less effort that the tradional riding style sleds. If you spend a majority of your time on that type of terrain then it is for you.
I spend probably 70%of my time on well groomed trails running pretty good speeds and lakes WOT. The other 30% pounding ditches and running on crappy trails. I don't need to move more forward and up higher
It only lessens the stability at high speeds.
