fishinayak said:Hey everyone, I have about 4,500 miles on my attak and the last two trips I have noticed that my sled sounds like poop at idle. and seems excessively louder at certain speeds....I actually wear ear plugs now. Do you think it is the donuts on the exhaust I hear so much about being gone?
Fishinayak, at 4500 miles you have done better than most. Mine went at about 3200 miles and were covered by my YES.

I just tried covering the exaust on my 06 attak and it did almost stall but would not totally stall. It just slowed the engine to a very low idle. Wondering if I need a donut job. It has 3,500 miles with the Hauck exaust on it. It runs fine but I just want to be sure.

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
Every Apex/Attak will need them. My Attak has 3800 and I ride easy and I needed them. So if I was you just do it. Do both of them. This is the time to change them off season that is.
If your within the 30 emissions warantee fine they'll do it. If not the pipes are $200.00 for both. donuts are $40..Easy job really.

Do you really have to drain your gas tank and take it off to get to them?

I'm sure glad that I bought 4 extra years of YES. I will probably get a few "donut" jobs out of Yamaha if I keep the sled that long!

I assume that you are talking about the "Yes" Warranty? Those of us without extended warranty are SOL?CaptCaper said:30 month emissions warantee on your exhust. Parts and Labor included.

The "emission control system warranty" is standard on all Yamaha snowmobile models, everyone has it.
I just checked my US manual and on page 1-1 it states 30 months and it does not state a mileage limit.
