drive chain

I priced the 68 link Yamaha part number thru my dealer and was quoted $200 Canadian.I read that the chain can be shortened by pressing out the pins, removing the desired number of links, and then pressing the chain back together.I have done this many times on a mountain bike chain and never had a chain later fail. Has anyone on this site ever done this?

it is just a hyvo chain polaris dealer has the way cheaper. or after market

i agree polaris has them, get one from them.

I thought the polaris hyvo chains were 15 plates wide.
