just going through everything prior to parking and wondering how to repack? or replace drive shaft bearing? pics or instructions appreciated. Thx Saw 118 on the dream meter yesterday!!!!and also saw that i blew another inside idler wheel! LOL!

I have been repacking mine for the last couple of seasons. Remove secondary clutch, Remove a couple of washers to get to bearing. Take a very small curved pic and pry off plastic cover that sits over bearing. If grease in there is creamy looking than u will have to spray it out with wd40 and use a small pic to remove any stubborn dirt. I repack mine with my finger being careful to not get too much in there but work it in well. Wipe any excess grease sticking out and reinstall cover, be sure to get cover under edges of bearing retaining ring. I use a very sticky grease like amsoil, the red stuff. It sticks well to the bearing and isnt as affected by moisture.

Be sure to do your speedo bearing down low under secondary, that is usually worse. Remove the 5 nuts holding cover on and speedo sensor on. Reach in with small curved pick and remove bearing cover. This one I did today and had to flush it out with wd40 to get dirty grease and dirt out. Be sure to place a cloth under this area to catch dirt. I used air pressure on low to help blow out bearing and repacked with amsoil red grease.

Hope this helps.....Besure to repack your idler wheel bearings now and you may not have a problem in future. I did my today and they were bad........If u do this remove idler wheel, remove covers on bearing, flush and repack. I have servicable wheels on mine skid, If your havnt been changed they be slightly different to get to the bearing.....
