I have an 06 Apex, I have seen alot lately about the driveshaft breaking or bearings going. Do you mean the shaft in the tunnel that drives the track or the shaft that has the breaks and clutch on it? What maintenance should I do or can I do? Don't have alot of miles on the sled. Thanks

its the shaft that drives the track. the other shaft is the jackshaft or secondary shaft. They dont break until 8-12K. I replaced mine at 10K just to be safe.
I wouldnt be too worried about yours letting go if you have low miles.

Thanks, I have about 1000 miles on it. Here in the east unless you trailer we don't get a lot of miles in. Are there any grease fittings or anything I should look at?

nothing for the driveshaft itself really. There are bearings on either end. 1 and is inside the chain case and is self lubed. The other side under the clutch needs greasing once a year.

Just grease the bearing that's on the clutch side. Its below the clutch right next to the speed sensor. If you don't grease this bearing it will go and usually take your speed sensor. Look in the FAQ, there is a how to on greasing both the jackshaft and driveshaft bearing.
