I Wonder would it Kurt to ad more clips on the outside?

Track clips are installed the wrong way , Mine on original track are backwards ( vertical tab inside ) chewed the sprockets same as photos , new track same brand same model tabs on outside , this is on a 2017 MTX .

Now I’m totally confused, just went to a buddies shop to use his press for drivers and looked as his sled with same track , his has vertical tabs are on inside like my original track was , mine on new track the outside .
We both put new tracks on last year .
Anyone have a clue ? Was it a Friday or a Monday job ?
I know on mine the tabs eat part of the drivers just like photos .
