I know there were past posts on track adjustment but my question is if you are experiencing driver ratcheting under hard exceleration after recomended track tension what could the problem be? I replaced slides this year so figured that I need to readjust the tension so I did that and still experience ratcheting under hard exceleration? Should I tighten more or is there anouther problem?

Have you checked your chain case chain tension? Have you been using a belt tension gauge to determine the correct sag in you track? if you have set it up correctly then you shouldn't have any racheting, if so you may have issues with the drive shaft cogs, look at those to make sure there not damaged.

Check the "nubs" inside the track that the drivers run off of. I have seen them wear down and or break off. the yamaha ripsaw tracks are softer Thats why the newer apexs come with anti ratchet extro drivers.

Thanks for the replies. I called Woody's Yamaha and they told me that I was running the track tension to loose and that I should tighten it more. I guess that the owners manual setting isnt enough cause I took a turn and a half on each set bolt and rechecked the alighnment. Then I went to the lake and took her for a rip! No more ratcheting! all is good! I did check the condition of the drivers as well as the track nubs. All looked good. Thanks again for the replies. ![Yrules :yam: :yam:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/yrules.gif)
