How and where does the front storage bag mount on an Apex? Is it large enough to hold a fair amount of stuff? I was thinking a first aid kit, jumper cables, tow rope, and some other minor essentials. Does anyone have any pics of one installed?
i dont think you will fit all that.its not real big.if you pull your hood off look in the front nose it straps to a crossbar and you loosen and push down some resiter heatsink thing.its worth having.

I use a marine drysack in the nose under the hood. Works perfect and keeps everything dry. $18 LL Bean or camping store.

Check out this thread for pictures of the front storage bag. You might be able to get all that stuff in there. I store my fleece pullover in the bag.MXD said:How and where does the front storage bag mount on an Apex? Is it large enough to hold a fair amount of stuff? I have stored in my bag: jumper cables, first aid kit, waterproof matches, owners manual, towstrap, tool pouch, space blanket, extra pair of goggles, 2 bungie straps, ductape, zipties. As you can see it holds quite a bit of stuff if packed correctly

Well worth the $'s. In mine I have a Yamaha fleece lightweight vest, tow rope, owners manual, extra pair of gloves, small first aid kit, extra face mask, with a little room left!

I was really surprised how much stuff I could fit in the front bag. It's much larger than I expected. I have my jumper cables in there with my "possibles" kit with room to spare. Well worth the money.

Thanks everyone. I ordered the Front bag and Combo Sport luggage. Should be in this week. I'll post up some pics when I get them installed

When we went on our bagger trip last winter I packed for the whole week with the combo luggage and a tankbag. And oh yeah, I had my loafers and an extra pair of Levi's stuck in the nose of the sled LOL. Didn't even get wet ! By the way, those were size 12 loafers and size 44x34 Levi's LOL!!
