Dupont slider wear

They held up well, all the wear was in the front end of the skid at the curve. The backs still had tons of material.

I wonder if you could just put holes in the other end of these and reversed them for another 6000kms if all the wear was at one end?

Put my Duponts on the beginning of last season. Now I have in excess of 9000 km on them. I also have the marginal wheel kit along wth Excel wheel kit. I have run down 10 miles of roads with marginal snow several times with other guys burning their sliders. There is still plenty of wear left on mine and I figure I should get at least 20,000km on them.

I believe when there around 12-13 mm (at the most worn area ). A good way to check is with an open end wrench.

12-13mm for the complete thickness? from the bottom all the way to top where it hooks the rail? thanks for the advice!

Although Wisconsin has record amounts of snow this year. The extremely cold conditions in WI have made the trails hard as concrete and the snow really sugary..i think this has increased slide wear. a renegade I ride with who has never had an issue with slides was burning through them too

Total thickness new is 19.8 mm - from the bottom of the hyfax to the top, where is slides over the aluminum rail.
Under the aluminum rail there is 10mm of material - including the DuPont blocks.
Once the block wears away, there is only 5mm of hyfax left.
