Earth X battery, which one?

This one...#*$&@ Pic wont post to big..
EarthX…. EXT36D in my Winder MTX...zero issues and almost 10 pounds lighter than stock..

I had the same earth x in my viper! It's going in the sidewinder this year. When I took it out at the dealer when I traded it I tossed it to the machanic! Should have seen the look on his face when he caught it! It weighs nothing really

How much are these Earth X batteries? Are they more powerful than the stock battery?

If you ride in the cold and don't have the sled stored in a heated garage you will have problems. Lithium ion batteries do not like the cold. These sleds need weight taken off the front of the sleds and not the rear anyways.

The Earth X weighs 3 pounds 13 ounces cost me like $350.00. OEM was over 12 pounds if I recall. I can find the pic I took of the weight.

Never had an issue with EarthX in cold weather and left outside of cabin in -15 degrees and fired sled right up. Its powder no liquid. They advise in extreme cold to turn key on let gages cycle...turn off repeat but once gages cycle turn key start. The cycle put juice through the powder to warm it and then it fires. I personally have had zero cold weather issues. Sled sits out side of cabin for days at a time in the Snow Range, Togwotee, Crooked Creek, and in Alpine Wyoming while on trips. All day trips its in enclosed trailer.

There is some truth to this, but the new generation of Lithium ion batteries is MUCH better. They can function in -20 F.
And you're right about the weight. I personally need weight in the back............so i replaced the weight from the battery & put a 3 gallon gas tank back there.
I'm not sure the $350 is worth 10 pounds in the back to some people, but it seems i'm not the only one with OCD on this forum.

I replaced the stock battery because it started leaking after the first year. Had a hairline crack that lost a couple drops a month and didn't trust it. The eathx does crank faster when it's warm.

I agree Steve your not the only one but you are our leader....LOL

I had an earth X in my Nytro and the first time I went to cold start the sled (-5F), it cranked slow. I called earth X and they explained that as the earthX cranks the engine, it warms up (you need to keep cranking it). It warms quickly and it’s spinning the engine at a normal speed soon after you start cranking. It’s weird though. It was trippy to get used to a battery that produces more power as you crank it, not less. The EarthX never failed me but I only had the sled for two seasons. I’m buying a new battery this fall for my XF7000 and it will not be an earth x, but that’s because it’s $350, not because it didn’t perform as advertised.

I used a 2lb battery then added a Ultracapacitor to it (another 1lb) and the UC charges and discharges extremely fast. It helped warm the lith ion but allowed really fast cranking even in cold weather. Worked slick and will make its way back into a sled at some point. I had a issue and had to crank the sled a LOT amazing how the lith ion never ran out! Just went on forever!

I need to replace me battery and I am thinking of this new EarthX. I purchased one for my motorcycle and it has worked well. Can't believe how light it is. This new model is made for snowmobiles. Thoughts?

I like it! Need to replace my Shori Lithium that gave up the go last season, this will fit the bill well. That Shori lasted me 8 years! I found when going back to the stock battery my rear suspension bottomed quite a bit more it was so heavy compared to the Shori Lithium. People might not think 12 lbs makes much of a difference, but it does to me in the suspension department alone.
