ease my mind

And always remember, on your way back down, the gas is your friend and the brake is your enemy! So close your eyes and grab the throttle, it's always worked for me

tooold.........If your a "flatlander" (like me) riding in the mountains is a VERY humbling experience. I've seen many "hot shot" flatlanders (myself included) get their a$$ handed to them in the mountains. Take what you know about flatland riding and throw it out the window. Mountain riding is a whole new experience. Once you get the hang of it, however, you'll hate riding in the flatlands. EVERYBODY gets stuck in the steep & deep. The important thing to remember is to ride as a team. Help each other out. Don't go out their trying to prove you're a better rider than the other guys. Again, work together and, most importantly, have fun.

WFO is correct. One you go mountains, you will never go back. I say sell the 121 and go with the 151. The bigger the better.

thankx guys the budget only lets me go once I cant justify to set up a sled for a once a year deal Dam I spell like a frenchman  oh god Iam going to pay for that

Oh you WILL go back to flats.... BUT you go back home and show your friends how to get to those 'places' no-one ever went before. You learned how from a local guy that rides the mtns all the time. Large hills seem like bumps. It's an unusual experience for the senses.

The mountain is a sled/sledder tamer. Like high speed lake running (which is awesome in its own right) your sled is screaming, but on the mountain you CALCULATE your way towards the top. You find your sleds weaknesses and YOURS.

You go to sleep at night dreaming about blasting through powder cornices and dropping off bowl ridges into fluffy snow... instead of counting sheep. You FORGET about getting stuck.

When you do ride flats again... you think seriously about getting a long track.... then you do.... people ask you WHY?... you venture into deep areas you would have stayed away from before, you SEEK them out... you look for anything that resembles a mountain.... then you look back and motion for your friends to follow... but they don't and just shake their heads... you SMILE...

I'm a flatlander too.... I miss Revelstoke, BC... I will be back.

Where in the dakotas are you located tooold I would like to see and maybe test ride your rx-1 as I am looking to sell my old 600 vmax sx and step up to the real toys.
