I recently picked up a excell header and pipe can i run this with stock fuel setting or do i need to buy the programer iv'e heard only when you add the k&n filters too do you need more fuel, :4STroke: any help thanks

If that's the only mod you have you should be fine with stock setting. When you start adding more mods like the K&N's and other stuff then yes you may need a PCIII. But all sleds act differently with any engine performance mod. I'd say call Allen at Ulmer's Racing he will tell you what you need or don't need. He's a really straight shooter and has excellent customer service.

X2 - you should be fine. If you add K&N's our any other mods that would effect air to fuel ratio you'll need PCIII or V

Thanks for the quick advise since i want to get it on for my trip to the up next weekend

i have the Excell Header piper and Exhaust and am not running a PC. You may have to adjust your CO (i havent yet - but might need too)... but you will have to ride it once or twice to see if you need one. It will come down to the usual stuff. Where will you be riding, 1000ft, 5000ft or 10000ft, what is your rider weight and what will you be doing? What sled do you have? Is it clutched, what track.... all comes down to what else have you done. I have an 08 MTX for reference.

I have a 08 nytro rtx it's all stock I weigh 210lbs I be mostly trail riding and ditch banging but want that little bit more power and top end for the ocasional drag race

CR10EK's, K&N's, PCIII these are a good start. If your going to spend all this money I'd talk to Allen at Ulmer's or look at his website he sells package deals. And if you tell him what your after he will be able to steer you in the right direction. ;)!

Hmmm, Ulmer recommends a PCIII when you add the K&Ns to the exhaust. He does say you can run the exhaust without it.

When I bought my K&N's from him he didn't recommend the PCIII. Mine ran fine without the PCIII and with just K&N's on. My sled didn't start to act up until I put and my exhaust on and all my other mods. You also have to remember that each sled does act differently to the mods. The PCIII is just a fine tuner. So yes you will gain alittle extra from it. Cause as we know a good runnung sled makes a happy rider.

my sled runs flawless, i was told by a friend, probly one of the best mechanics there is (no exaduration) say they dont do much at all, he has seen them screw up a sled more than it could help it... ill take his word over ANYONE's
