ECU Tuning - Higher Mileage

Thanks for all the information very much appreciated. Will a set of qay-66 work with the 240 sm tune and possibly the super spool or max 16?
Reason I ask is I have those weights.

yes if you use the ultimax belt, not sure if they would work with the 8JP but yes for sure with ultimax. They are adjustable from 66-73.4. That is what I am using with my max16 tune.

Ok good as I have the ultimax belt also. Tried it on my stock 20 ltx le definitely cleaner belt but couldn't get any rpms. And cant get much more than 118-120 speedo on good conditions. It's ok just not enough need some more hp. My 17 Ltx was definitely faster just felt like had more power. The new 20 definitely handle better imo though.

Qay-70 is a good option for hurricane 240 standard or ss! This way if you ever decide down the line to go 270 the Qay-70 will have enough adjustability
Hurricane 240 runs about 75-76grams with stock belt and around 2 grams less with ultimax
(Target rpm 8800)

Depends what hes planning on doing for helix and spring, his 20 is gonna have a 35-39 in it and wont need that much weight and if he uses a 35 helix and yellow spring he wont need nearly that much weight. Im at 70 with 270 tune and 35 helix yellow spring, Slight overrev on top end but I like it but with that being said I like a bit higher than 8800, qay66 would work for him on 270 if he runs stock secondary

I have a 35° out of a 18 I got from a friend. Definitely better at keeping rpms up even at stock. My sled had issues all year being under rpm and its stock.

yes I didnt like the 35-39 either, found it inconsistant. Use the 35 with yellow spring at either 50 or 60 wrap with qay66 and ultimax belts and youll be good to go, I promise. If you havent checked your alignment with hurricane alignment bar I would suggest doing that as well over the summer. Youll have cool clutches and great belt life.

Powertrail SM is probably your best hp for the buck. 250 hp, no 3 bar or BOV required. Stock weights can be used easily with the sticky XS 825 belt. Very smooth and great fuel mileage. I am sure the Hurricane 240 tune is good also

Pretty sure 240 tune is the one
Was thinking max spool 16 mainly as my dealer is also a td dealer n is pushing that tune. But have seen the 240 hurricane n gotta say it is a good all around tune. Just looking at best bang for dollar and reliability too. Going to bigger power is great fun but gonna cost ya down the rd. I spend 95% of my riding on trails

Has anyone tried the modified stock muffler from Turbo Dynamics or is it worth it to run the stock unit as it is? If the PowerTrail SM tune is good to go as it is, I will probably go that route (but it doesn't hurt to ask regardless).

I haven't but according to website it adds 10HP to any tune, so powertrail with stock muffler mod would give 260hp.
There is a youtube video of a guy sound testing them all.

Got boost!

Those are the jet engines i used to build parts for in north berwick maine Pratt and Whitney UTC.You may have plenty of thrust/boost with 20,000 lbs of thrust for sure, well for most of us that is lol.
