Electric shock ???

Dealer installed new rear shock on my 06 APEX GT under warranty this fall .Is there any way to tell if this shock has the updated seal or not? Did they make a new design of shock since???If they did how do you tell them apart???

ride it and if it blows tehn no update, just kiddng but dont think thier is a way of telling unless dealer put on an 07 shock
