Look at it this way too, Rod, LOTS of guys spent many thousands of dollars this year, did a self install on forced induction, or in some cases dealer install, and are now out the engine, if it puked out the exhaust the blower too, all you did was lose some shipping!
Nothing ventured means nothing gained, right?
Actually no I did not but with the filter and rubber grommets off it probably would take off. It has thrust what it does not do is build the pressure as stated on their website. This thing does move air though.

Why didnt you tell them about this thread and that they should give you one for free to try with everyone watching? Or maybe they knew what the end result would be???
So now that youve scraped this idea heres something else to try. Try a leaf blower. I bet you could build psi with that and they dont weigh all that much.

Yes I was very disapointed it did not do what it stated with the pressure. I am positive with the amount air this thing pumped it would flush a lot of air into the air box and would generate some Hp. The pressure gauge picture on their site is what made me decide to order it. If it could hold the pressure of 1 psi on the air box even at wot the thing was going to make some pretty good HP gains.

If I can find a DC motor that turns 30,000 rpm min I could build one.

The intake is the filter attached to the turbo. The shiny tube is the turbo discharge. Are you talking about the different color on the motor drive.

well, im dissapointed now. you had this thing in your hands and dident even install it to give it a try. never mind the pictures, graphs, charts, claims, psi readings, or what any body says, now we dont know if it actually would have worked, cause you dident even try it. imagine if you did gain 5-7 hp and 5 mph on top, they would be selling quite a few of them. i just wish you would have tried it and then we would all know, good or bad, how it worked.

Well I like to get what I pay for and an electric fan that could hold 1 psi at wot would no doubt do a lot better than .5 or less psi which is what they said it was putting out in emails. Their website states 1 psi and they now tell me they are going to change the website to state that it is a 1 psi net meaning there is vacuum in the air box and this would produce a net 1 psi but a static reading of .5 psi. Now .5 is half of 1 which is 50% less and I paid for 1 psi. At 1 psi with the HP calculator I could of expected 10 hp and probably got which would make this purchase worthwhile plus dont forget you are going to have to build an air box. All in all with the box built and this installed would have cost $500 to $600 cnd and get 5 to 7 hp am sure of that with some top end improvement also. I can get that with a ECP kit minus the top end improvement for a lot less. Like I said if it had delivered the 1 psi like advertised the box would be being built as we type. You are welcome to give it a whirl if you like nothing stopping you. I do believe you will get 5 to 7 hp and top end improvement as it will feed air into it where the ECP system cant.

Well I sent the e-ram back and got refunded the full total amount plus shipping back to my CC. They did some testing on the unit I sent back to them and they said the motor was faulty and not spinning at full rpm because of it the unit lost 30% of its static pressure it would normally build. They are now looking into the matter further to find out what was wrong and how many units were affected.

Does this mean you are going to try it again? Would the 30% make the difference you were lacking?

Maybe as it was making about .5 psi so with the losses it was seeing it may build to 1 psi with one working properly. This would be a summer project now if I do decide to go with this one. Might just build my own that can actually deliver a true boost pressure.
