My lights started to dim and My sled barely started. Next I loose my guages and it won't build past 8000 rpm and chokes up when I give it full throttle then when I shut it off it don't start. Charge battery start it hook up meter to battery and it slowly looses voltage. check line to line resistance to stator and it seems to be within spec. Changed my rectifier with a used one off this site start it up idle it up to 4000 rpm and don't get the 14v @ 4000 rpm like the manual says. Do I have another bad rectifier or wrong one alltogether. The # on th original is FH001 3.5 151. The new ones # is FH001 2.7 231. What is my problem. :o| :o|

Also can I ride the sled with guages, lights, warmers unplugged and just use battery to start it. I wanna fix it but If I am waitin for parts again I wanna ride in the meantime.

Oh yeah it is an 04 rxwarrior stock and this happpened the day I removed the bar pad and installed a mtn strap??

Am I right by checking the line to line resistance readings on the white port plug which plugs into the rectifier? I have a manual and used the troubleshooting guide to trace the problem. So when it says the ohm resistance should be .19-.24 ohms how far out would a reading be to know the stator isn't working. The volt meter I have reads in tenths only so when I check it bounces from .1 - .2 ohms and is consistant on all three legs. I may give up and send it to the dealer but they are backed up at least a week. :o|

I talked to a Yamaha mechanic and what he could tell me is that if I cannot get three of the same DC, yes DC voltage reading(15v approx.) out of the three white wires individually to ground while the machine is running that my stator could be gone. I did, and at $85/hr, and a weeks wait to get it into the shop to see what is wrong, I opted to get a good used stator from the oh so helpful TY classifieds. Should be here next week and I hope it solves my problems.
