encountered problem

After a 200 mile day my 2006 vector just quit 1/4 mile from home. Just like I hit the kill switch. Sounds funny when I crank it over also. Any ideas. I thought may-be stator or crank.

Found out today that moyor is gone. Only thing left good is the block. Dealer said if out of warenty that yamaha will not cover it.

yas I do have a warranty. Just thought I would let everyone know that if no warranty then yamaha will not cover it. I had 2 weeks left on it. Going to buy another 2 years.
