Supertraxx magazine swears these things make the flat-corner handling of the FX Nytro much, much, much better. It's cheap and easy to install, too.

I see where they'd work great in softer, packed snow but I think they'd have durability issues in low snow conditions. I can also see them packing up with wet snow as well as freezing to the ground.

thats looks like something that would fetch up on rail way crossing or rock and really bend our front ends to #*$&@ IMO.

I looked at these as well and for the reasons stated didn't go the route.
I did install triple point bergstrom skegs WITH the ski savers and it totally changed the handling of the sled. I think the keel of the ski isn't deep enough and the ski savers made all the difference to handling for me.
