hey i have a 06 gt apex, my ec shock function quit and I narrowed it down to a bad ecu, (I tried one out of a known good sled), my ecu worked great but just shock function bad, so i ordered a used one off a gye who said it come out of a wrecked 07 apex and worked fine up until the scene of the crash! so i got it in the mail installed it and code 33 was on and amber fuel light flashing,i have never had a code or engine light on this machine ever! so i started it, lights went out code was gone, sled ran great, warmed it up for 5-10 minutes, shock worked, all was great right! wrong, tried it again couple days later , code 33 and light flashing again , it dont want to run or runs like crap!if I plug my origanal ecu back in all is good just no shock function! so my question is, is this ecu f-----, or is there stored codes that need reset from crash ? just funny it worked fine than not? wost case ill put mine back in and ride with no shock function and look for another one next year! any input would be appreciated. thanks

Check all the connections at plug coils , Make sure they are clicked in tite .i had code 33 pop up a while back and it was / I believe the first or second coil from the secondary clutch . As for the cluster , I'm not sure , but for the running issue this is where I would look. At the connector in harness .

ok , but when i plug my old ecu in no codes! just code when i put the one in i got out of a wrecked sled, wondering if this code is from that sled or stored in it when he wrecked it! that needs to be cleared or would it self clear if no problems detected?

Hmmm ? Not sure . You said it runs crappy .could be a Coincidence, that when you plug it in you are having running issues?

My code 33 would only do time to time , (loose connection) this is why it was frustrating, but I found it.

Disconnect ground on battery when you do the ecu swap .

ill check connections this aft, yea could be coincidence but would be a hell of one since never had a code or light and when put my orinal ecu in everything good?? all the searching i could do really dont show any ecu problems with these sleds? thanks for the reply, ill keep checkin!!

Let us know what ya find. I don't believe a ecu can cause a code 33 pop up, even from an old crash or cause, unless you have an issue with your coil connection .

When I had the issue it was running really ruff ! Like 3 cyl only ruff ! Then it would just konk out ! But only sometimes..Somehow my connection was loose ? Not clicked in , wasn't .. Looked like it was ,but no.Maybe when I did the plug change back then I must/had to of pulled on it or moved it somehow .? Let us know . Good luck

turned key on early this aft and code 33 and amber light still flashing, removed ecu from wrecked sled, pluged my original in, ok , looked at pins on other ecu and cleaned with spray contact cleaner and lightly scraped with a small scrwdriver, put that ecu back in , turned key on, code 33 still there and flashing light, started. sled , ran perfect lights and code went out, let warm for 10 mins as i did befor and shut down, i have tryed since then ( about 3 hours or so later) a few times , everything good, no lights, codes and my shock works! wondering if it takes time for this new used ecu to " relearn" there is no problem? i will keep trying now everday until i trust it! abd even then might put my original in back of sled just in case!! if it sets code 1 more time im junking it! new one here in ca 951 bucks, ya right!! ill put mine old one in and buy a mega float!! also tomanytoyz i checked those coil pac connections as u said and they were good, cliped in , they still a little wiggley when cliped ! but were good, thanks for the help, ill repost if it does it again and i throw the new used ecu across the garage!!!
