Hey Guys,
Sleds been sitting in the garage since the last ride about 5 days ago.
Went to go warm her up like normal, idled at the normal rpm. Then went to hop on it and noticed the engine light was flashing on the screen. As well with the yellow indicator light.
While it was doing this the rpms shot straight down to 83 - 0 would just bounce in there. Sled was still running and sounding like normal.
Any clue what could be going on?
Thanks.
Edit: there is no fault code on the screen.
Edit2: Also I was just thinking. Does the code show up where the rpm would be? This is my first time experiencing this issue.
Edit3: I started it again. It idles at 27XX Rpms and then shoots down to 84. Then goes back up.

Alright so I answered my own question.. Fault code is 84.
Anyone suspect something obvious to first look at for code 84?
Edit:
Another update..
Its the throttle cable. I wiggled it and the light shut off. I just installed a 2.5" Lake Effect Pivot Riser. I moved the cables outside of the two little arms that hold it together like I have read many others do.
Is there something else that I had to do for this to work?

You need to adjust your throttle car to give it the proper amount of play. There's a sticky at the beginning titled frequeny ask question. Download a service manual to find out how to do it.

I had to adjust the throttle free play last week. Here is a great write-up. Very easy to do.

In step 4 instead of uplugging the plug between the arrows its simpler to unbolt the bracket (the 3 - 3mm allen head bolts). Trust me on this - those sensors have hoses attached underneath them and if you break the fitting they are a very expensive part to replace - ask me how I know
