Have any of you had any issues with the electronic power steering on the 2011 through 2013 models?

No problems with 3100 miles, except one time when it was -15 F in Jan. 2012 and the EPS light came on and the system did not work. Never happened again.

Mine will not work when temperatures get below 0 to 10 degrees F. It will come back after running about 20 minutes. If it gets about -5 degrees F and lower, forget it! Won't work at all! I have no clue why this happens. My only complaint with this sled!

I have 2700+ miles on '12 Vector with no issues. It has worked all the way down to -10F without issues. I've not gone out any lower than that yet.
It is very nice to have and very noticeable when you don't have it on someone else's sled when you swap.

Yes
There is a bulletin out thats says not to shut your Vector off with the kill switch because it can disable the power steering.

That's very interesting. I've never used my kill switch except to check it once every so often to see if it still works.

I never read it but my dealer told me that.
He had it on the puter and asked me if I used the kill switch to shut it off.
I said not generally but when it was giving me trouble I wacked the kill switch once and he could tell.
He had to reboot the EPS somehow

I've been wondering, since I'm considering a newer Venture with EPS...... what about changing to aftermarket skis? For example, something with deeper/longer keels - how will this affect the EPS? Will it be overtaxed and/or prone to failure from the increased workload? Is there anything in the owner's manual that warns against this?

I havent looked nor do i know. I am for sure going to put some longer carbides on mine next season. I only rode 275 miles on mine so far in slick fresh snow on top of a icey packed base in 30 degree weather. Obviously this thing could handle
Much different on a hardpack snow base in 10 degree weather. So for now, which will be next season, im messing around with limiter strap and control rod before i do anything major. You may look into the tuner skis.

You can prob throw any carbides or skis, the eps is the same as the atv's,it will handle big tires in deep mud so any snow condition is easier than dirt imo
