I HAD A CODE 11 PUT IN NEW CYL ID SENSOR AND REPAIRED BROKEN TPS WIRES ON WIFES MCX BOOSTED PHAZER. IT RAN AWESOME FOR 3 RIDES SHE TIPS IT ON THE SIDE WE START IT UP RUNS FINE FOR A DAY THEN NEXT MORN RAN IT HARD ON THE LAKE AND TOOK OUT A 2013 STOCK TURBO CAT HAHAHAH BUT NOW I HAVE ERR 1 AND WONT START NO FUEL PUMP PRIME COULD MY ID SENSOR BE SHORTED ECU ????????????????????? ITS GETTING FRUSTERATING IM SICK OF TOWING IT

What's ERR 1? It's not on the list. Starts at 11. Sounds like a faulty fuel pump relay. Very common problem. If it got tipped and snow got on the relays, could be the problem. This problem would not give a code, just no fuel pressure and not hear the pump priming.

Er-1 is "ecu internal malfunction", symptom is "no signals received from ecu"

sled780: see my post in your other thread

err1 is a no communication between the ecu and the dash i guess, but im going to check the relays tonight thanks

Ah, was looking at error codes in the FAQ at work and they blocked the image of the first list. The second one didn't have the er errors.

Check all the plugs into the ECU as well as the one into the gauge pod which could have been disturbed after a spill. Maybe the fuses too. I doubt it's related to the first problem and something that resulted from the tip. A relay problem wouldn't have given that code.

My son rolled the Phazer and busted the instrument pod last year. I replaced it and have the ERR1 code when turning all the way left and right the odd time. When I wiggle the plug at the back of the pod, the error code goes away. If that doesn't help, the other end of the cable or the ECU may have been damaged.

I hope all works out.

I don't know of it is the same as the apex but when I got the er1 code it was because the driveshaft bearing went and knocked the speed sensor out. It caused the fuel pump not to come on because the speed sensor was shorting out the circuit. I would check that as it is something you can see without removing anything (look under the secondary clutch and see if your driveshaft is rubbing on the speed sensor) Otherwise just check all connections to see if anything came loose or broke. I hope for your sake it isn't the drive shaft bearing / speed sensor because it is a pain in the butt to do.

Start by pulling the connections behing the spedo and the ECU chechink for broken pins and good connections.

Sounds odd but if you have another sled try swapping batteries. It cleared my er-1 I had this season.
