I keep getting this intermittent issue when coming to a stop but it doesn't happen all the time. Error code 30 and sled shuts off. Turn the key to off, clear the code and start it, runs fine.
Is this a faulty wire or sending unit issue or should i be more worried?

Oil is on the H.
Its also strange that when I take the plug off the top of the dipstick no error code pops up.

What are you running for oil?

Amsoil 0-40, I just changed the oil. Ran it for the last 2 years with no issue.

Is it on the H when the dip stick is screwed in or with it sitting at the top of the hole.
Unplugging the dip stick will now throw a code, if its plugged in and the oil level is low it will show the oil light.

What filter did you use? It's unusual but I have seen faulty automotive filters.

Check your oil filter ASAP. The aftermarket filters hang lower and the sharp ribbs on the inside of the skidplate will cut the filter and give you a code 30 shortly before your engine goes BOOM! Here are some threads on this......

I have the Yamaha filter installed, I must have a NAPA one in the Phazer.
I did have this thing tipped on its side before I changed the oil, was a bit of Oil in the air box but that should trigger the sensor.

I made sure the oil was warm then checked it again, was a bit high so I took some out. Could this fire off the sensor if there is too much oil in the sump?
