So you guys have some miles on your Apexes. Anyone crack an exhaust flex pipe? Toward the end of last winter, think it was our last ride, my sled was annoyingly loud....gave me a headache. Thought it was the donuts, which I had replaced at 1500 miles, but they were okay. Found a crack in one of the flex pipes. I have about 3000 miles on the sled.

Funny just like what happened to me. I cracked a flex pipe at around 9000 miles. I had just changed donuts for the second time and in 200 miles or less the exhaust started making noise making me think I did something wrong. I ran it like that as it wasn't bad for a while before I fixed it. Ha. Just coincidence.

Yes.. lots of issues with the pipes breaking, flanges cracking and donuts blowing out.. Yamaha warantied my entire exhaust system at one point under my YES plan..

the flex pipes are less common to crack but definitly not unheard of many have had them fail.

I purchased replacement flanges for the factory Y pipes on ebay. And copper donuts

on the subject of the post just think of how much fun it will be doing all the mods on the new one I went to the 12 xtx from the 07 gt and could not be happier with the huge diffrence in the power and the ps is far beyond awesome. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
