Long story short
I just bought an excell today.
On the way home I get a call from a friend. He has an excell sitting in the shed. It’s beat but have it he says :o|
Now that I have them apart there is some big differences.
The beat one:
1)Has bigger oval exit hole
2) has a chamber in the inlet.
3) bracket is welded aluminum

The purchase today:
1) smaller diameter exit hole
2) no chamber at inlet (straight through)
3) CNC machined bracket
And to my surprise 4) packing is intact and mint.
The one I got today has to be practically brand new. It’s immaculate for used.
Going to bolt on and test it out soon.

Are they both for a phazer? I one on my Apex has a larger exhaust hole than the 2 pics you have shown.

Yes. Both supposed to be Phazer.
They seem to have an insert at exit side. The bigger hole one is approx 4” and the smaller round is approximately 2 1/2”. Maybe same can, just the way excell tunes the pipe.

I find the one with the cage on the inlet (older one) interesting.
