Finished up wrap under old exhaust too. Just basically put in what I cut out. Turned out almost seamless. Almost

Best graphic I have seen. I really like it.

I order yesterday the air deflector for the headlight. Is the one near your knees is the same one?

Thanks Shockwave !!

No. Part numbers in pictures are of the ones by the knees. Triple the price unfortunately. $60 a piece here.
You only need 4 of the special nuts and 4 of the screws tho.
Flip the side panel and headlight cover over and the holes to drill are pre marked. So easy to do.

@shockwave heres some more wrap completed.

Got the rest of my wrap today so figured I’d put some on. Man is that a painful process to get clean cuts. But holy $hiat is it coming together nice.

Your are very good and patient. It will look amazing when it will be all done. After all that work and practice, I will send you my sled and you can have some fun lol.

Thanks bud.
It’s only about a 40 hr drive for ya but heck ya, bring her down
:sled1:

Went for lil test ride with excell on and the 20 tooth top gear.
Sounds good!! Ran great.

Doesn’t have that “drone” at cruising speeds. Nice bark on it great tone cruising.

Run 1 dirty clutches I ran 11,300 @130km/h. Saw 125 km/h on the dial. (5out now with gear change used to be bang on with gps)
Up 8km/h. I used to get 125 but really had to hold it to get that max. The max now just hits it and hold it nice. Cruising used to be 120 so I pick 8 as a fair average gain.

Stock 8GC-00’s (57.7g)out and 8DN-10 (48g) back in primary g-y-g spring.
Run 2 clean clutches I ran 11,600. Bit high but I loose a horse and 3lb torque.

Primary hot but could touch and secondary warm. Bet warm so I think efficient setting wise.

Finished up the secondary wrap today too.
Have some left over so may want to do a few more spots yet.
Another day. I’m gonna ride tonight and work on wrap while out on the trails. See if I can dial in abit.

I’m post ho’in abit here but have to add....
Those air deflectors on head light and body really work great. Definitely notice less air hitting the body and knee area.

Continue to chat with myself here :hide::)

Played with sled this morning again. Didn’t have lighter force spring to bring rpm down so I added a gram to the tip. 49.1g total primary now.
Ran smooth. Clutch was much cooler. Rpms 11,300-11,500
Went on a 280km trip today.
Must be running much more efficient. Usually I can only get 155kms per fill. Pulled up at station at 160kms and only put 24l in tank.
Good sign.

Question clutching wise......
On a long run acceleration to speed the rpm drops slowly while maintaining that speed down to 10,900-11,100. What causes that?

Answered my own question above lol.
Secondary to tight. . I too 20* out of it.
I thought I was at 70*. Was actually 80
Wrapped to 60* and now my flat out runs the rom drops down and climbs back up to 12,300.

Trip yesterday trails were abit tighter but I raised ride height in front 3/8”. For such a subtle change you would think I don’t have that sudden tip/panic feel going into sharp twisties turns anymore at all.
Having said that, I believe taking 20* out of secondary played into that big time. I don’t have that slight twitch anymore letting off gas quickly. (Engine braking by secondary slamming shut so quick)
Polished helix and going to put new buttons in and try 50*. No belt slipping at all at 60.

It’s amazing following the clutching rule of setting primary FIRST before messing with secondary. Not chasing my tail anymore trying to dial the rpms in with secondary.

Did the buttons today. No choice
Good ride today. Cold and low traffic. Trails really loose tho.
Coming back I had that slight intermittent miss again here and there. Wasn’t bad but definitely there.
So I let off gas at an intersection after 5 miles of pounding drifts in ditch and hear this crunching weird clicking noice. Pull off. Check clutches. Warm to touch!! Which is awesome. I notice a button gone. Slight crack in two spots on belt but they e been there for 2000 kms already. Seemed ok.
Taking it easy home for next 30kms again. This time I know it’s belt. Check and sure enough two big chunks gone.
2 mins to slide new one in, love that secondary mod for that!! And continue to cruise gingerly home.
Pulled buttons. Cleaned up sheaves. Re polished helix and will see how she does tomorrow after belt break in.
