Hello all
I am fairly new to yamaha and this site but I have been reading and occasionally post here.
I have an 03 rx1 mountain that I bought at the end of last season. I had the starter burn up at the end of last season so I took it to the dealer , had them fix it and put in a new battery and change the oil.
I have put 800 miles on this year and have had to put a half a quart in her already. Is this normal?

I burn about 1/2 litre to a litre in every 1000 km or so. 1 litre is a little less then a quart. Some 03-04 burn oil you can try ring-free but I found it only works for a while. I might try the product engine restore. Check the tech section there is a post about it right now.
