I have a 2007 vector, I have read several places about replacing the exhaust gaskets.

Are there any suretale signs when these need replaced?

Does the motor sound funny? Louder?

Vibrations, etc?

Any help would be great!!!

All 3 of ours went out at the the 4500 mile mark.
I honestly couldn't hear a difference, but others say they can hear a rattle.
Put on a pair of old gloves and plug the exhaust with your hands for a few seconds ...the engine should idle down and want to stall....if it doesn;t your donuts are bad,
there is another post on this subj. on pg.2.

It seems as if my rs rage has a weird noise coing from the exhaust which is just under the gas tank. It sounds like a import car. I watched a youtube video which shows to take off the seat and gas tank to access the exhaust rather than removing the skid. I may order the parts before hand to have it all ready to go and fix the issue while its all apart. where is everyone having the leak come from? the flexible connector? what part is everyone referring to the exhaust donut? and would it be soley the donut to replace?

the dounuts are underneath the fuel tank and can be acessed from the top by pulling the seat and fuel tank off. there is a how to in the tec area for a rx/apex but the procedure is pretty much the same.

Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for copper donuts.

The stock ones suck.
