I ran out of time and light. I took my sled apart due to a exhaust leak. All the do units appeared to be fine not sure where my leak was coming from I plan on removing my flex from block if I get done before sun is down tomorrow. I had three backfires on my sled on last trip of season all within less than 50 miles of where I was parked. It was not as bad as it was when I blew the head pipes and had to listen to the racket for day and a half of ridding back to are starting point. Both pipes were covered under yes around 5,000 miles don't really remember exactly. I replaced dunuts 2,500 miles ago or so not start of last season the season before in my fall maince. I will be replacing with copper this year. The question I have is should I be looking at the y pipes for leaks the clamps were still tight all the flanges appeared to be good but it failed the engine stall test with hands over tail pipes. Maybe I caught it in time maybe the donuts are just starting to go. Any ideas if or where I should look for a problem? What would you do or look for?

I have seen several mufflers that cracked around welds in the y section. Be sure to check them.
Flex pipes also crack and separate which then leaks.

I replaced my donuts with copper and after the first ride I found a big crack in of my flex pipes. Cant wait to find out how much that's gonna cost me.
