Ive been noticing lately that there was a rattle coming from my sled just as i start to take off from a dead start (first i thought it was the clutch) but then yesturday when i dried off my sled... i noticed the rattle was comming from the heat shields under the exhuast.. above the track..
Is the fix to rerivit it or to just remove the shield??

I riveted and siliconed mine and it stopped the rattle. Then the shield cracked and it started rattling again so I removed it.

If you are talking about the heat shields in the tunnel get rid of them as the rivets will work loose again.

If your track is spiked, get rid of them 'cause they'll eventually be torn to shreds. If not, silicon and new rivets works great.

I havent had any problems with my studs hitting anything....
Maybe ill try the silicon first and if that doesnt last.. Ill just take them off..
Thanks

I guarantee that the spikes are scratching at them *just ahead* of where you can see.

I removed mine on my 03 RX-1 when I was changing the hyfax.
My dealer removed them under warranty a month ago.
