I can't get the exhaust off my header pipes. The clamps on header pipes are complety off and I have the suspension unbolted the tunnel is up in the air and the pipes are stuck on good. I've pulled on the muffler hit it with a bfh and even heated it up up cherry red and I've not made and progress. I dont know what to try next. Dose anyone have any pointers or suggestions on how to get it apart.

I spread the pipes ends a bit with a large screw driver and pulled on the muffler while going from side to side, and beat on the muffler with a hammer on a block of wood inbetween tugging and pulling. It finally came off. The second time it came off like nothing. Go figure.
I know on the '08-'09 there is a bracket welded between the y pipes on muffler. After you take out the bolt that goes through the bracket and into a nutplate clip riveted to the tunnel you have to slide muffler forward to release bracket from clip.
Air hammer with a flat blunt hammer tip ,and I piece of hardwood or thick plastic in between .Couple of trigger pulls and watch for it
My exhaust was hard to take off. I used a long flat head screw driver in the same holes to the exhaust clamps. Push towards the engine on both sides, one side then the other. It will loosen at that point. Take your time.

Make sure the clamps are loose but not off in the middle. Use the long screw driver in the hole against the clamp and push forward. Repeat for both sides. It will come off. Leave all flex pipes.
