I have a exhaust turnout (SMA-8GL14-00) that I was going to put on my XTX but I think I might buy a black one instead... so I decided to see if it could go on my wife's 2007 Phazer Mountain Lite. In the Yamaha Accessories this part, with the same part number is listed but when I opened the package it says not for use on a Nytro MTX or Phazer Mtn Lite.
Can anyone clarify this for me??? Why does it say I cannot install it on a Phazer Mnt Lit but I am able to buy it for a Phazer Mnt Lite?

just tried to put it on and it will not go on...
for some reason there is a slight downward bend to the exhaust outlet and because of that the turn out will not slide on far enough!
any ideas???

Here is a picture of the exhaust, and the down ward bend...
There are two holes that match up to the exhaust turn-out mounting holes (I did not drill those they were the previous owner)... so that is why I am confused, not sure why they are there or how the exhaust turn out was put on...
Do you guys think I could cut out the bend in the exhaust and mount the turn out...???

yeah, i asked the yamaha dealer about it and he thinks that the previous owner may have bent it... not sure how...
so anyways, spent sometime this weekend and was able to cut off enough of the bend to be able to mount the turn-out... had about 1/2" to spare...
